Louise Lempke

Louise Lempke, 81, of Du Quoin, passed away at 12:12 P.M. on Monday, August 16, 2004 at the Skilled Care Unit of Pinckneyville Community Hospital in Pinckneyville.
Louise was a homemaker.  She had also worked at Kewanee Manufacturing and Kewanee Boilermaker.  She was a member of Knoff Bend Pentecostal Church in Elkville.
She was born February 28, 1923 at Buckner, IL, the daughter of Guy Irvin and Erthul (Thomas) Irvin Moudy.
She married Edward W. Lempke Jr. on September 27, 1966 at Brimfield, IL and he preceded her in death on May 13, 1988.
She is survived by six children - Helen Bernardini and Wayne Cornett of Dowell, Dorothy Likes of Great Bend, KS, David Millin and wife Marita of Percy, IL, Trudy Mercer of Princeton, IL, Lyndell Lempke and wife Lynette of Kewanee, IL, and Verlin Lempke and wife Beth of Kewanee, IL, seventeen grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter - LaVeta Farran, one brother and one sister.
Graveside services were at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, August 19, 2004 at the Evergreen Memorial Park in Kewanee, IL and her grandchildren conducted the service.
Friends called from 5 to 8 P.M., Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Interment was in the Evergreen Memorial Park at Kewanee, IL.
